This is one of the 32 baby chicks we received in the mail yesterday. They arrived in a special card board box from IA and much to our surprise, all 32 are doing very well. These girls will start producing eggs for us this winter and represent the start of the boys’ egg business.

For now they are in our brooder made out of a horse trough that lives in the barn. Their coop / fenced in area is next on my list of “to-do’s”.
